There are two exclusively classical music cruises, along the River Danube aboard the 5-star MV Mozart one departing on 15 April, the other on 7 October, 2007.
The ‘Schubert – Quartet Heilbronn’ are four exceptional musicians who have been playing together for several years, and are now well-known chamber musicians in South West Germany. Stefan Schubert and Moritz von Bülow, Violin, Sebastian Wohlfarth, Viola and Georg Oyen, Cello may be familiar with our regular guests as they often perform onboard our vessels as members of the world famous “Württemberg Chamber Orchestra” or the “Freiburg String Quartet”. Sebastian Manz, Clarinet and Christian Ruvolo, Piano, both solo players have travelled previously entertaining guests of Peter Deilmann Cruises. Programmes on board the MOZART will include the works of Mozart, Brahms, Dvorak and Beethoven. Between Vienna and Budapest a musical and entertaining voyage with music of Kreisler, Hubay, Haydn, Mozart, Monti, Dincu accompanied by a singer will be performed.
On board the Mozart in April 2007, the classical music programme will be dominated by compositions of Classics – Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven as well as composers of the Donau Romantic such as Brahms and Dvorak. Music from Vienna with a lighter feel will complete the highlights of chamber music. Finally, upon arriving in Budapest we will experience the fire and passion of the Puszta sound. Mozart will feature a second classical music cruise along the River Danube – 7 October, 2007 – again offering a similar programme to that shown above. Full details will be announced shortly.
